Connecting with the Best

I wouldn’t say I’m necessarily “new” to the promotional products industry, as I have been working for ID Line in some capacity since I was about 5 years old, but I am new to all the happenings outside the building. Trade shows, distributors, suppliers, end users, apparently there are a lot of all of them! I have been helping create a larger social presence for ID Line and have been having a blast doing it. Ok, enough of the social media plugging, but you should also follow this blog, just saying. So, one of the challenges of being a supplier in the promotional products industry, is that we are only able to sell through distributors. Which is a lovely thing, of course, because we love our customers, but it makes it a little tougher on the marketing side of things. I have been scouring social media outlets for our customers, and have been having a lot of fun interactions on the way.

Take the distributor Quality Logo Products for example, their content is well-written, informative, and it let’s their customers know the products that are right for them. Recently, I watched a video on a technique of printing called de-bossing. Yup, it’s a thing, and it’s a beautiful thing. I think I’ve shown the video to at least five people since yesterday, and keep going back to watch it. Hilarious. And I felt like da boss after watching it. Check them out, you won’t regret it, and you’ll find yourself laughing more often than not.

The more we communicate and get to know each other better, the better we can promote each other’s strengths. The promotional products industry is vast, and I’m only beginning to scratch the surface, but with great suppliers and distributors to connect with, I can’t wait to keep connecting.
